Away shirt as worn in Glenn Hoddle’s first full season back at the helm at White Hart Lane. Hoddle led the side to a League Cup final thanks to a 5-1 second leg victory over bitter rivals Chelsea. Spurs failed to lift the Worthington Cup with Blackburn’s Matt Jansen and Andy Cole scoring either side of Christian Ziege’s goal to take the crown back to Lancashire. In the league, Spurs’ patchy form prevented them from mounting a serious challenge for a European place as they finished 9th.
