Noel Whelan #14 printed to reverse this was won in a raffle by previous owner who was told it was worn by Whelan in a game but the shirt is not player spec and has no provenance.
This stunning design purple away kit was worn when the side narrowly avoided relegation on goal difference finishing 16th in the Premier League. It was a season of few highlights for the Sky Blues as they fought tooth and nail to avoid dropping out of the top flight but they did enjoy results such as a 1-0 win over Liverpool and the 5-0 thrashing of reigning champions Blackburn at Highfield Road.
