Classic home shorts as worn when the side became one of the founding members of the newly formed Premier League in the 1992-93 season, finishing 11th in its inaugural season after finishing 14th in the previous season in the First Division. Also worn when Chelsea made it to the quarter finals of the FA Cup, losing 2-1 in a replay against Sunderland after the original tie finished 1-1.
