After a poor run of winter results, Lampard was replaced by Thomas Tuchel, who arrested the Blues’ slide and brought them to a 4th placed finish, as well as overseeing a triumphant Champions League run that culminated in convincing wins over Real Madrid in the Semis and Manchester City in the Final, with German prodigy Kai Havertz scoring the deciding goal to give the club their second Champions League trophy.
