Away shirt as worn when the side finished 8th in the League, but disappointed in Cup competitions, losing to Oldham in the FA Cup, and a young Arsenal side in the Carling Cup. In March 2005 Kevin Keegan quit as manager, 15 months before his contract was due to expire.
