Home shirt as worn when Peterborugh United were attempting to gain promotion back to the Championship at the first opportunity after being relegated from the Championship in the previous season. The team finished in 6th position in League One after sneaking into the play offs on the final day of the season, but were knocked out in the play off semi finals in heart-breaking fashion. After beating Sheffield Wednesday 4-0 in the first leg of their play-off tie, Peterborough found themselves in a penalty shootout for a place in the final after Wednesday won the second leg 5-1 after extra time with Peterborough losing the shootout 5-3.
